Ignoring the fact that the game crashes, you can crack open the toolset and manually attach the. hak files that make up the PRC need updating (done, only effects devs) and the program that attaches the PRC to the modules you're playing also needs updating (in progress, shouldn't be long before I'm done).
I suspect there is a thedailywtf-esque answer for this being a thing) The directory structure inside the game installation directory has changed (music->mus, modules->mod.This is required from Windows Vista onwards to avoid having to run the program as admin (no more annoying UAC prompts). directories now live in your User/Documents folder. What the EE does break are the tools that the PRC uses to install itself. There's no fundamental changes in how the EE works that are backwards compatibility changes.
If it weren't for the fact that it currently crashes when loading it (bug has been opened) it would work with the PRC just fine. Technically, the EE doesn't break the PRC. I've had nothing to do with the PRC before this.
Hello, I'm the guy working on making the PRC work with EE.
